How do I Identitfy Type of Ants?

Adult ant species exhibit a diverse range of shapes and sizes, but each individual belongs to one of three distinct colony castes: queens, workers, or males. Queens are fertile females responsible for laying all the eggs in the colony. Workers, which are wingless females, take on numerous roles, including gathering food, feeding larvae, maintaining the nest, and defending the colony, though they do not reproduce. Male ants are winged and serve a singular purpose: to mate with queens during the swarming process.
